No problem: you can now book a super relaxing, pain-relieving massage as part of your tattoo appointment! We have partnered with Rela Noita, a wonderfully witchy Holistic Massage Therapist, who will be offering professional massage services at the studio. Having a primary focus on the ultimate client-centred care and particularly welcoming individuals from marginalised communities makes Rela Noita a perfect fit for the BluePunk studio!
Although pain is nearly always part of the tattooing process, at BluePunk we believe it's best for both clients and artists if we can do everything possible to reduce that pain and increase the overall comfort of our clients. We are the first tattoo studio in Finland to offer this as a pain-relief option.
Pre-tattoo relaxation massage
From first timers to tattoo veterans, nearly everyone gets anxious
or nervous before their tattoo appointment. Imagine if you could
spend 30 - 90 minutes before your tattoo appointment having
a wonderful, relaxing massage, leaving you feeling perfectly
chilled and prepared for the tattoo session?
Research shows that massage which relaxes you prior to being in a
stressful/painful situation (e.g. childbirth) can make the pain much
more manageable. Why not book a pre-tattoo massage to make
your time with us an enjoyable and relaxing experience as possible?
Combined tattoo/massage
Longer tattoo sessions, having a low pain tolerance or certain health
conditions can make even just booking a tattoo very intimidating.
Until now, clients have always tried to self-manage any worry and pain
with distraction techniques, painkillers or lots of breaks. These things can
all work to an extent; but what about massage? A massage during your tattoo
session can increase oxytocin, serotonin, and dopamine levels in the
body, reduce cortisol and promote an overall feeling of wellbeing,
helping you to get through a session with ease!
