Everyone is welcome at BluePunk Tattoo and we do our best to be as accessible as possible. Tattoos are for everyone!
Please let us know if there is anything we can do to improve how we work.
Service dogs
Your service dog is very welcome at the studio. We have a water bowl and some treats for your furry friend and there is a grassy area outside for if they need a toilet break. We just ask that you let us know in advance so we can make sure there are no people who have allergies at the studio.
Neurodiversity
If you are neurodivergent or struggle with a mental health issue such as anxiety and are unsure about going to a new place and meeting a new person, please let us know and we can arrange for a visit to the studio before your appointment. That way, you can take your time and find your way to the studio without worrying about being late, get used to the atmosphere of the studio and meet your artist so they can help with any questions you might have. At your appointment, if you'd rather wear headphones, read a book or watch something rather than talk, that's totally fine (lots of clients choose to do this as you'll usually be sat for a few hours). If you think you'll need more or longer breaks, let your artist know and they can make sure they give some extra time for your appointment .If noise or a lot of other people can be an issue for you, please let us know when you're booking your appointment and we'll do my best to find you a more quiet time to be at the studio.
HIV
People who are HIV positive are welcome to our studio! As the only studio in Finland who are part of the Prevention Access Campaign we try to do all we can to end the stigma and we will never turn anyone away for having a positive status.
Mobility
Our studio is in an old building so unfortunately we are limited in what we are allowed to change to make our studio wheelchair accessible. Please contact us directly if this affects you and we'll do our very best to get you easy access to the studio.
LGBTQ+
Our studio has a big focus on being LGBTQ+ friendly. We are a queer-owned, female-owned studio and this is a place where you will never be judged or mistreated. Please feel free to tell us your preferred pronouns and anything else which will make you feel comfortable. Our WC is unisex and we stock unisex clothing too.
Skin Tone
If you are not sure how certain colours, tones, shades etc. will look on your skin, please get in touch and we can arrange a consultation to discuss it. If you let us know what your skin tone is like before your appointment, we can change how we draw the design so you can see how it will look on darker or lighter skin. We can also plan in advance which colours to use to ensure the best possible results when your tattoo is healed. Some artists have more experience with darker skin, so please don't hesitate to ask if this is something you'd like to consider when choosing an artist.
Skin Conditions
If you have a skin condition such as eczema, psoriasis, vitilgo etc. this does not mean you cannot get a tattoo. Please feel free to come to the studio or send us a message and we can discuss any concerns you may have.

Scars and Stretchmarks
Most of the time, scars and stretchmarks can be easily covered. You won't be asked any insensitive questions about them and we offer a nice, discreet tattooing service with the intention of you feeling good about the end results! You can read more about this and see examples on our cover-ups page.
